Ashley La Montagne holds a Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance and a Bachelors of Music in Music Education from Arizona State University. Ashley has an unwavering passion for music, a commitment to fostering artistic growth and an ambition to positively impact the field of music. Over the last four years, Ashley has been working at Victory Lutheran Church in Mesa, Arizona as the alto section leader as well as teaching private voice and piano lessons to aspiring musicians of all ages. Along with teaching, she loves to perform and has had the opportunity to sing at such venues as Carnegie Hall with the International Young Adult Choir, Meerscheinschlössl in Graz, Austria with the American Institute of Musical Studies, Buell Theatre in Denver, CO with the Colorado All State Choirs and Gammage Auditorium at ASU with the Arizona State University Concert Choir. She has sung with the Chandler Opera Company in La bohème as well as with Arizona State University Music Theatre and Opera in Hänsel und Gretel. During her time at ASU, Ashley had the honor of serving as President of the American Choral Directors Association Student Chapter. While having the privilege to study under the tutelage of Dr. Stephanie Weiss, Dr. Linda DiFiore, and Dr. Joshua Palkki, she has gained practical insights into effective pedagogical techniques and a comprehensive understanding of the diverse needs of students. Through utilizing passion, creativity and ambition, she believes that every musician at any age has the opportunity to connect and create wonderful music.
To empower humans of any age and background to find their self artistry through the universal language of music by incorporating music history, music theory, voice pedagogy, and culturally responsive pedagogy.
